nest chair
I really like this Nest chair by Nina Bruun, maybe because of the obvious connection to a birds nest but also because it reminds me of a project I did freshman year in Design 1.

This project was to design an object that showed an effect of light. I came up with this. It is a candle holder that shows off lights ability to burn and scar. It didn't ever actually catch on fire but the tips did burn away slowly from the heat.

there probably wasn't any dancing
"Berlin-based artist Hans Hemmert (famous for his work with balloons) threw a party where guests wore shoe-extenders to make them all the same height of 2 meters. Aside from bringing the partygoers all to a common eye level (and eliminating the awkward postures of party talk between the tall and the short), the gathering is lent an infographic nature by the shoes: all made from blue foam, the person's real height is read in the visual uniformity of the sole instead of at the head—like a walking bar graph."-Core 77
This is interesting, I wonder what the attendees felt about the experience. Would the shorter guest prefer it and the taller guests feel uncomfortable about being less intimidating?

Sun & Music
I think my favorite time of the year is when the seasons are changing. You know the days when its 72 degrees during the day and dips into the 30's at night. I like the contrast of getting a tan during the day and having the wear a heavy coat at night. Lately I've been enjoying the sun on my roof and some tunes, there is something about the first hint of summer weather that makes the music I love sound even better.
Albums on repeat
Elliott Smith - XO
Kurt Vile - Constant Hitmaker
The xx - xx
Gorillaz - Plastic Beach
The Walkmen - Bows + Arrows
Toro Y Moi - Causers Of This

If you're ever feeling discombobulated go through the Milwaukee airport security checkpoint. You might not be able to recombobulate but you'll probably smile.
